THE FINAL WORD: Audiences love Jimmy Smitts and the show will have the cushion of "The Voice" as a lead-in, but that doesn't always guarantee a hit. THE FINAL WORD: One way to think about this show is what would happen if "Pitch Perfect" meets "Doc Hollywood." With the ever-talented Whitford in the lead it should resonate with audiences and should fit nicely into NBC's Thursday night block.
